Scholarships-TN

Our club gives yearly several scholarships to high school students, who not necessary are at the “top of their class”, but show strength in community service. We also provide incentives in community services by honoring intermediate school students with Savings Bonds. We also yearly give at least one (1) scholarship to a student attending Riverside Community College, Norco Campus through an endowment we established with the Soroptimist International of Norco club several years ago.

About Soroptimist

Chartered in 1947, Soroptimist International of Corona is a non-profit 501 (c)(3)* business women’s service organization, which improves the lives of women and girls in our local community and throughout the world. Our signature service program is “Dreams and Decisions,” a workshop for intermediate school girls with emphasis on building self-esteem, mentoring, and education to help prevent teen pregnancy.

Soroptimist International of Corona also provides annually: Youth Scholarships, the Women’s Opportunity Award and the Violet Richardson Award. Our annual “Women of Significance” luncheon recognizes local women who excel in diverse areas of community service. We also support Alternatives to Domestic Violence, the Teen Parent Program at Corona Vista High School and Inspire Life Skills Training.
